Queluz living room furniture plays on light in a clever combination of techniques. Externally, gouged and patinated brass softens the light while the glossy black lacquer, asymmetrically contrasted with the white parchment, reflects it. A subtle line of glossy red lacquer heralds the surprisingly radiant interior. There the technique is echoed as a tint and combined with red leather upholstery on a background of silver mirrors.
